Hi lovelies,
It is freezing cold outside! Arctic Chill is what the news reports are calling it. I nearly died traveling to work this morning – FROZEN SOLID even with my big jacket and over the knee boots, tough leather pants (featured in this post). Lost my metro card and then had to buy another….cold weather is so not for me! But the cold outside makes the homes more cozier, the hearts more fonder and the holiday cheer spreads warmth inside. When I saw this top – it screamed laid back holiday party to me! I have always lovered the plaid/checkered pattern my entire life. I know alot of us do but this sweater brings out the classiness in checkered pattern with a little bit of chiffon peeking underneath it. And when it was 70% off at the store – I knew it was going to be mine!
These leather panel pants have been glued to my legs – they are super comfy around the waist, fit is perfect and they are thick enough to be worn on the cold days! And then came the over the knee boots. I was looking for some flat ones so I can walk in them for days and these fit on me like a glove and I am now 100% satisfied that they were made for walking and loads of Christmas shopping!
This year has been specially challenging – and it is ending on a pretty challenging note but all of us need a moment to stop before the end of the year and remind ourselves of our strengths. It is really easy to get bogged down when your health is suffering and you struggle to find out why and keep hitting walls. But you have to remind yourself of all the good you have done and how strong you have been in other areas such as your job, amazing coworkers, family and friends. It is easy to see who wasn’t around but what I really appreciated was to find who I least expected, to be around me. We have to remind ourselves sometimes bad things happen…they happen to teach us something…and for us to overcome them and become stronger – after all leather looks better once its broken in 🙂
