She wanted Red, White and Blue

Happy 4th of July Sweeties!
Hope you are planning to enjoy some bbq or fireworks tonight, if not maybe just a day of relaxation or shopping? My 4th of July will start pretty late in the day as hubster has to be at work. People who work in human services do not get all the holidays off, its sorta sad but hey someone has to be out there taking care of all of us!
I haven’t worn a pair of shorts since my trip yo Florida last year in April, I ended up fracturing my foot twice and had tons of other health issues that I am still working through and haven’t seen the face of the gym since. So it was a bit scary shooting for the first time in a pair of shorts. But you know what? Here at closet huntress we are loud and proud of our bodies. And once again, if I am not going to show a image of what a real woman’s body looks like then how are we all going to start spreading real images of women in the world for our generations and the next?
Anyway I wanted to keep up with the tradition of wearing red, white and blue for 4th of July as I have had for years and was very lucky to find these amazing shorts that fitted me like a glove, as well as a USA leotard all in one store. When I was buying these goodies – I wondered how much use will I get out of these items? But then I realized well you could always represent the country you live in and it doesn’t have to be the independence day! Plus Olympics are right around the corner. I can get much use out the shorts and top separately when worn with other items in my wardrobe. On this particular day I returned from work, fixed my hair and makeup – put on the patriotic garb and then headed out to Dinner. Ofcourse we didn’t go to any fancy establishment but just a regular old sit down restaurant.Nothing to write home to mama about 🙂 Luckily I was able to find my entire outfit including the shoes online for you, incase you are interested in buying any of the pieces – checkout the widget below!
