Braving the Spring Chill

I am thrilled to share this new blog venture with you and it gives me immense pleasure to see that you stopped by to check out all the new changes.

The first post is going to be an outfit post that I wore fairly recently. Thinking back a week or two I can not imagine how drastically the weather has changed. At one point me and several friends were discussing how spring/summer will never arrive. We were laden with heavy jackets and leggings every single day, and our bitterness showed in every action we took when stepping outside the cocoon of our home/office. The transition is still slowly happening with some really warm days and then some somewhat chilly days here on the east coast.

On this particular day we decided to stop by the City and do what we do best – explore and eat! You know my two favorite activities. The wind was blowing and the temperature was still in the high 40s and early 50s. I decided to pair this beautiful skirt with a full sleeved crop top and opaque leggings. The skirt is a perfect transition piece into spring if you remove the leggings and I was glad my husband has bought it for me as a present. I mean I had informed him vehemently over the past few weeks just how much in love I am with this skirt!

I threw on a long light wool coat as we headed out, to not just pull the look together but also to keep me warm.

Our first stop was our favorite coffee shop Dolcezza and then we ended up having lunch at Cava Mezze. If you are ever in the DC area, give both of these places a try – trust me you will not be disappointed. I would like to throw a hint out here for you – Food is going to be a big part of Closest Huntress!
