Finding beauty in simplicity

Hello lovelies!

I am slowly but surely recovering from my ailments – life is like a yo yo at times, you get better than fall right back. What is worse is when you have no explanation of why your health went backwards…but when there is determination we can try to conquer anything in this world.

I haven’t seen the face of the gym in nearly a year, just when I think I am ready to roll something else falls apart within my body. I am at my heaviest I have ever been and in the beginning it was really tough to put on tight dresses or shorts. But it’s you guys and my determination to show how all women can be beautiful that has gotten me back into my closet pulling out the most body hugging clothes. It also brings us to a realization that we are our hardest critics so what I see in the mirror isn’t what others see when I meet them.

Anyway on to the post details – on this beautiful day I wanted to put on something SIMPLE, comfortable but cute on, something that would let my body breath and my stomach heal. Hence this dress became my perfect go to! And it was super cheap too! only 19.90 at Zara! Needless to say another color came home with me and I am looking to buy more! haha. It is something nice you can throw on, wear a pair of flats or sandals and you are ready to roll out the door. Hubby and I just strolled around the city and grabbed lunch.

Btw at this point I would also like to highlight my sandals, they are super comfortable and coming from not being able to wear anything but clogs 5 years ago this is a big improvement this year! I am able to walk miles in these shoes without any pain! I would be soon talking about finding the perfect heels for your foot in a future post. We don’t realize that each foot is made for a certain style of shoes and we try to cram our feet in all sorts of contorted footwear but I think my research bore fruit and I would love to share it with you. Needless to say these are my go to heels (just like the dress haha!)
