I mean Business!

Hi Lovelies!

We are going to be talking “I mean business” look today! a sophisticated look that can be taken anywhere with the right accessories and makeup and present your A game. There is something really strong about a woman in a pencil skirt! A pencil skirt literally brings out the inner most fierceness in most women. It curves and lifts in the right places. You can go a bit more daring with a tighter top or be more feminine with a loose blouse/top.

I know some ladies are scared of wearing a pencil skirt due to it showing some imperfections but the easiest way to pull off one without being self conscious is looking for either a low waisted pencil skirt and pairing it with a loose billowy chiffon top or getting a high waisted pencil skirt that has a thicker wider band to hold everything in!

Now you might ask how do we learn stand out in the seas of all the women wearing pencil skirts? Well you have to look for little details. Those little details can be big details if you are not planning to wear your skirt to work such as lace inset, see through or shiny embellishments or for work you can find little niffty details such as zips, pockets or just a not so subtle color! Now if you are a lawyer or work in very serious firm, the details might have to be even more subtle…maybe almost hidden so that you know you look cute and you can hide them with a blazer.

This skirt came from the Eva Longoria Collection and I loved the zipped detailing on the back. The zip goes all the way to the bottom of the skirt. You can always dress it a little more risque if you are out for an evening and not at work. I somehow ended up with all three available colors….well when you find something you love and it fits well then go ahead indulge!

Keep your shoe choices in mind – if you are going to be walking around alot, it is perfectly okay to wear flats or kitten heels. If its summer time a tiny heeled sandal will do you well as well. But ofcourse the higher the heel the more accentuated your shape will look. But do not forgo comfort for looks. There are alot of ailments that can forever cause you to hang your high heels in back of the closet. Happy feet makes for a happy girl!
