Being a girl means emotional ups and downs – hey that might just mean being a human! But there are certain classic things that can cheer any girl up. A little black dress and some boots, the taller the better. The dress can be form fitted, skater or sheath, midi or mini – it doesn’t matter. If worn in a combo? even better.
It lifts the soul, gives a little and when you seal it with some color on your lip – you feel like you are flying in the sky. That can’t just be me? This attire is very easily worn in the spring and fall months but when mother nature throws you a warmish day and lets you wear it in the deep winter of January – you know someone is watching over you (maybe good karma? if you believe in God then maybe that?)
My closet like any other girl’s is full of black dresses of all shapes and style but this one truly won my soul with the little criss cross lace detailing on the side. It sets this little black dress apart from all the other ones out there. And these boots? I have been living in them this entire winter! They go pretty well over tights, skinny jeans or underneath a dress.
I am nursing more injuries, trying to take it one day at a time and figuring out how all this fits in, in my life. Typing is currently a bit tough so I will keep this post short until I get used to text to speech feature that I have been toying with 🙂
